Salaam Takaful's Day Out with Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP) children on World Down Syndrome Day
World Down Syndrome Day is a day to celebrate the unique abilities and contributions of individuals with Down syndrome. This annual observance serves as a reminder of the importance of inclusion, acceptance, and support for individuals with Down syndrome. This World Down Syndrome Day, Salaam Takaful Limited collaborated with the Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP) in a heartwarming engagement session. It began with an informative orientation session led by the KDSP team, delving into Down syndrome and strategies for fostering inclusivity. Following this, Salaam Takaful’s team joined the children from KDSP in a Canvas Craft activity, creating beautiful artwork for an upcoming exhibition. These artworks not only showcased creativity but also symbolized its commitment to supporting individuals with special needs and fostering their inclusion in society. This collaboration is in line with Salaam Takaful’s ESG-driven philosophy. As we reflect on this session, it's crucial to raise awareness about Down syndrome and other such characteristics to promote understanding as well as acceptance within society. By coming together we shine a light on the abilities and contributions of individuals with special needs, fostering a more inclusive and compassionate world for all.
