The recently concluded AAOIFI-SECP Inaugural International Conference on Islamic Capital Markets was the first of its kind conference, jointly organized by Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions and SECP Pakistan. It was a huge success attracting prominent speakers and attendees from both the public and private sectors, including the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the Ministry of Finance, the Board of Investment, Islamic banking institutions, the Islamic capital market, and the Takaful industry. Moreover, international participation also made by representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), The World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Mr. Rizwan Hussain, MD & CEO of Salaam Takaful Limited delivered his keynote speech about the New Business Models in Takaful Industry of Pakistan in the light of Islamic fintech and Digital finance, backed by innovation.
