Leading the discussion on "Transforming Agriculture Value Chain via Digital Collaboration" at Agritech Conference
Based on groundbreaking parametric solution and several other contributions in the domain of Agritech, Salaam Takaful Limited was invited to lead the discussion on “Transforming Agricultural value chain via digital collaboration” at the first ever Agritech Conference organized by Pakistan Fintech Network that held in the federal capital of Pakistan. On this occasion, Syed Nayyar Hussain (Executive Director – Strategy and New Initiatives, Salaam Takaful Limited) spoke about the plight of farmers and in order to safeguard their interests, how the government along with the private sector must promote crop related insurance / takaful coverages, citing real world examples of other countries. He further emphasized on the fact that farmers play a very significant role in Pakistan's economy and their issues affect the whole country, therefore agritech is the way forward.
